A student may drop a course within the first three weeks of enrollment. Requests to drop a course must be in writing, preferably on the “Drop" portion of the UAF Drop/Add Form (see back of course guide). Tuition, fees, and materials (depending on condition) costs MINUS a $15 processing fee will be refunded if the student drops and returns all materials in perfect condition within the three-week time period.

A yearlong student may also drop from a course within 60 days of registration and receive a refund of 50% of tuition. All material returns must be returned to the Center for Distance Education

• Up to 100% REFUND FOR MATERIALS RETURNED WITHIN 21 DAYS
• Up to 80% REFUND FOR MATERIALS RETURNED BETWEEN the 22nd and 29th day.
• Up to 50% REFUND FOR MATERIALS RETURNED ON THE 30TH DAY AND THEREAFTER, SUBJECT TO BOOKSTORE DISCRETION

All material must be returned to CDE in excellent condition or no refund will be processed.

Students may withdraw from a course through the seventh month of the yearlong term. After the seventh month from the enrollment date, no withdrawals are allowed. No refunds will be given after the 60-day time period. Complete the form below and return any books/materials for which you wish a refund. This option is not available to semester-based students. Semester-based students must drop/withdraw through the campus where they registered for the course.
