Using Blackboard-Checking Your Grade

Any activity, quiz or exam that is automatically graded will post the grade in your gradebook (multiple choice/true & false quesitons). If an instructor needs to review the material submitted for an assignment (normally short answer, essay, fill-in-the-blank type questions), quiz or exam then the instructor will need review the submission and then post a grade in the gradebook.

To access your grades, click on the MY GRADES menu item on the left

or go to TOOLS link and select My Grades.

The date shown is the date that the item was created by the instructor. The next columns represents your grade, the possible points available, the class average and the weight of the assignment compared to the final course total. Your instructor may have chosen not to add the weights so this column might contain 0%s.

If you see an "!" in the column that means your assignment has been submitted but the instructor has not yet graded it. If you see the lock (In Progress) or the question mark ? (Grading Error) contact your instructor immediately to find out if there was an error when you submitted the file that you need to fix.
