Course Spotlight
The UAF School of Fish and Ocean Sciences (SFOS) extends its reach to new student populations with an innovative online lab-science course, titled "The Oceans." SFOS has offered this beginning marine science course in the classroom for many years. Over the summer of 2008, CDE worked cooperatively with Professors John Kelley and David Norton to develop an online version of the course—making it possible for students throughout Alaska and around the world to study this important topic without leaving their homes.
