Deadline Dates for Spring 2008

• October 5 - Deadline for coursepacks or syllabi with copyrights
• October 5 - Deadline for book orders
• December 3 - Deadline for coursepacks or syllabi without copyrights (for CRCD faculty only). Please check with Shari George regarding deadlines for CDE syllabi.

Textbook Orders

You can now adopt your textbooks online by filling out the textbook request form. If you need assistance selecting books, check out the Faculty Center Network! (Contact Chris for login and password or create your own login.

Another service of the CDE Bookstore is to order your textbooks using our online textbook adoption form.

Copyrights for Course Packs

Use our coursepack request form to arrange custom publishing on line. We will obtain copyright permission for each item you request, and we will ensure compliance with U.S. federal copyright laws, State of Alaska Statutes, and UAF policy regulations.

Please provide CDE with a hard copy or disk copy of all articles you would like reprinted. Please be aware that copyright permissions can be costly to students, and can take 6-8 weeks to obtain. If the copyrighted article you want to use is unavailable or very expensive, we will contact you. We cannot take additional articles after the deadline for coursepack submission has passed.

Syllabi

E-mail your syllabi to the CDE bookstore (or provide a hard copy) before the deadline posted above. If you cannot meet the syllabi deadline, your options are to fax, mail, or e-mail your syllabi directly to your students. You may also choose to post your syllabus on Blackboard.

Out of Print Materials

If you order a book and the edition you are using is out of print, we will contact you with the current information. Please be sure the edition you are ordering is the correct one.

Study Guides

If the textbook you are ordering comes with study guides or media that you want included, please add it to the textbook adoptions form. We can often get discounted prices by ordering them bundled.

Media

We can duplicate videotapes, DVD's and CD-ROM's for student use. Base cost for videotapes is $5.00, for CD's and DVD's $3.00. Base cost for videotapes and CDs is $5.00 each. Additional costs include securing copyrights and purchasing an original set for duplication. Please be aware that these factors can significantly increase the cost to your students.
